SALEM AND THE SCARLET LETTER (2020)
Narrated by American actor John Carradine (Stagecoach, The Grapes of Wrath) Salem and the Scarlet Letter combines a visual history of Salem, Massachusetts with the original writings of author Nathaniel Hawthorne. The film was produced & directed by legendary filmmaker Samuel M. Sherman, who frequently collaborated with Carradine (Blood of Ghastly Horror, Doctor Dracula). Sherman first visited Salem in 1965 and shot the film in 1978. I had the opportunity to work with Sherman and edit the film at The Film Detective. The world premiere of Salem and the Scarlet Letter debuted on The Film Detective's linear channel on November 25, 2020.

I am pleased with the final version and I hope that modern audiences will appreciate it as a viewing prologue to the 1934 The Scarlet Letter for which purpose I originally intended it."

A BLACK SHERLOCK HOLMES: CUT VERSION (2021)
A Black Sherlock Holmes: Cut Version (2021) is the abbreviated version of an early Sherlock Holmes short produced by the Ebony Film Company in 1918. Although the film is severely damaged, The Film Detective wanted to provide an opportunity for Sherlock fans to view A Black Sherlock Holmes alongside the rarely seen bonus shorts that were also included in the collection.
The film is now available for viewing on the The Sherlock Holmes Vault Collection.
